What it's about

 

Based in Partners Group's fast-growing Manila office, this position is a central point of contact for regulatory compliance projects relating to international marketing of private markets’ funds. The role has been designed to fit the firm's ambition to implement, maintain and continuously modernize state-of-the-art system and process framework dedicated to client relationship management, client onboarding and client engagement. 

You will work closely to support the client relationship team to act as an interface between the Front office, Operational and Legal teams. This involves coordinating between specialist teams to design and implement preventive and detective controls mitigating regulatory risks inherent to the sales organization. The role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, a quantitative mindset and paralegal experience. An entrepreneurial approach is also highly desired.  

 

The role will be part of the Business Management, Tools & Data team in the Manila office.

What we expect

 

  • A minimum of bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, law, legal management, accounting, finance or political sciences.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial industry or other relevant legal roles.
  • Ability to translate regulations into controls on an organizational level to prevent breaches of law.
  • Previous knowledge of software for due-diligence and fact-finding, (e.g. DDIQ), is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills are required; basic knowledge of Business Intelligence (e.g. QlikSense) and data analytics is preferred.
  • Project management skills and the ability to deliver on multiple workstreams under tight deadlines (time management) while maintaining a high standard is essential.
  • Experience with a Client Relationship Management software (e.g. DealCloud) is an advantage.
  • Experience in creating visually appealing slides for senior stakeholders is expected.
  • An understanding of the financial industry (ideally private markets) is a requirement.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage large amounts of data while producing quality output.
  • Must work well in a team environment, excellent interpersonal skills to engage senior professionals and liaise with global teams across the firm. 
  • Passionate and entrepreneurial to bring in your own initiatives and improve existing content and processes.
