Are you an innovative, collaborative, and highly motivated sophomore student that has a desire to learn what consulting has to offer? FTI Consulting wants to invest in your future and the future of FTI with IMPACT Summer Leadership Programs!

In summer 2023, FTI will host six IMPACT sessions. Candidates will be eligible for the session that best aligns with their major and skillset. Programs will include learning more about opportunities that exist at FTI, networking with business professionals, enhancing professional development skills, showcasing skills through various activities such as a case study, and interviewing for our 2024 traditional internship program.

IMPACT Program Opportunities

All IMPACT Programs will take place in New York City. If accepted into the program, FTI will pay for all travel accommodations. Please see all session options listed below:

Corporate Finance

  • Women in Finance (Session 1): May 15th, 2023 – May 17th, 2023

  • Corporate Finance IMPACT (Session 2): May 17th, 2023 – May 19th, 2023

  • Preferred Majors: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Business Analytics, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Statistics, and other Quantitative majors

Forensic & Litigation Consulting

  • FLC Session: May 23rd, 2023 – May 25th, 2023

  • Preferred Majors: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, Business Analytics, Insurance, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Data Analytics, Construction Management, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Science, Mathematics, IT, Supply Chain

Health Solutions

  • HS Session: May 17th, 2023 – May 19th, 2023

  • Preferred Majors: Biomedical Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering – General, Finance, Financial Healthcare, Healthcare Management, Product Development

Strategic Communications

  • SC Session: May 23rd, 2023 – May 25, 2023

  • Preferred Majors: Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Economics, Business, Public Relations, Psychology, Political Science


  • Tech Session: May 15th, 2023 – May 17th, 2023

  • Preferred Majors: Business, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Law, eDiscovery, Digital Forensics, Information Governance, Privacy



Basic Qualifications

  • Actively pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree with graduation date between December 2024 – May 2025

  • Available to participate in the dates of the program listed above

  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA and 3.0 Major GPA

  • Permanent US work authorization

  • COVID Vaccine required*

Recruiting Process and Next Steps 

This application encompasses all FTI IMPACT 2023 Opportunities. No applications will be considered prior to the deadline. As candidates complete their application and move through the interview process, they are considered for specific opportunities that best match their background, experiences, and preferences. See below for a sample process of a candidate who is selected to move through the first three interview steps at FTI:

  1. Apply to FTI Internship application by October 28th, 2022

  1. After completing the application, complete a “Preference Form” which helps our Early Team understand your background, experiences and location and consulting specialization preferences to best align your skillset prior to October 28th, 2022

  1. Invitation to complete a Pre-Recorded Video Interview (one-way video interview)
