Summary
* The incumbent will provide direct clinical services to defendants placed in the Specialized Adult Court Programs under Criminal Court Administration supervision.
* The incumbent is responsible for group, individual, and family therapy for all adults placed in this program by Criminal Court Judges.
* The incumbent will participate in treatment and staff meetings, policy and procedure creation and adherence, program development, and safety assurance on the secure unit.
* The incumbent will be expected to speak in front of groups, testify in court, advocate for clients, and liaise with community professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Develops treatment forecasting and planning and updates treatment goals.
* Reviews plans to ensure treatment goals address all areas of concern based on needs, risks, and other assessments.
* Assesses assigned defendants, creates individualized treatment plans, monitors progress, and collaborates with other treatment providers.
* Identifies extraordinary needs and makes referrals to appropriate community resources.
* Provides a variety of related tasks including pre-placement interviews, applicant assessments, clinical decisions, compliance and administrative hearings, court proceedings, discharge sessions, treatment team meetings, resource staffing, and inter-agency collaboration.
* Maintains files and documentation on all participant contact. Provides monthly reports on demographic and court compliance.
* May make home/field visits to monitor participants’ behavior in the community.
* Assists in researching and security funding for program needs.
* Monitors daily jail bookings to determine offenders that may be eligible for the program.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements

TO APPLY, must have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work or a mental health field.
TOAPPLY, must have Two (2) full-time years of work experience in a human service field.
TOAPPLY, must have a valid driver licenseNote: A Texas driver license is required to hold the position.
TO APPLY, must hold LPC, LMSW, or LCSWlicensure.
Ability to coordinate services for defendants in custody and interact effectively with people ranging from elected officials to community-operated organizations.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with the general public.
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheets.
If hired, must provide proof of educational attainment
at New Hire Processing or during the promotional process.
Tarrant County will conduct background checks on new hires that will include a criminal background check related to convictions and deferred adjudications in the past Seven years and may include credit reports, motor vehicle records, employment records and educational attainment. A conviction or deferred adjudication is not an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually.
