Corporate Finance & Forensic Services Executive
Location: Beaconsfield (Hybrid Working)

The Client:
Our client are an award-winning chartered accountancy firm with a highly personal approach to the way they do business. Their areas of expertise include accounting and business advice, tax, corporate finance, inward investment, forensic accounting and resolution services. They have a dedicated division offering advice on VAT, Customs and Excise duties and employment related taxes.
With offices in the Thames Valley and central London, they are able to assist businesses from any sector and of any size both nationally and internationally. They focus on providing timely, common sense advice and solutions for the clients.
The Role:
Timely and cost effective completion of Corporate Finance and Forensic assignments, mainly consisting of ad hoc projects as instructed by the Corporate & Forensic Services Partner.
Key Objectives:
Completion of corporate finance and forensic accountancy assignments to a high standard of technical competence and within time/budget constraints.
Professional written and oral communication with clients.
Maintain technical competence.
Communication with the Partner to enable consistent work flow and effective planning.
Complying with the firm’s operating and administration procedures for corporate finance and forensic services.
Key Activities:
Support the Corporate & Forensic Services Partner in transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, corporate restructurings, due diligence, valuations, fund raising and other ad hoc projects.
Preparation of forensic accounting reports including but not limited to loss quantification, business valuation and matrimonial disputes.
Preparation of corporate finance bid/proposal documents and related documentation: research relevant information and prepare documents for Partner review.
Build good rapport with the clients, with a clear understanding of client expectations.
Work effectively with members of the team and client staff.
Attend training courses, keeping technical knowledge up to date.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures.
Agreement of assignment budgets with the Partner as work commences, regular monitoring of progress against budget and feedback to the Partner.
Decision Making :
Responsibility and initiative are expected, as far as experience allows, balanced with the need to keep the Corporate & Forensic Services Partner informed of actions and ensure his agreement.
Problem Solving: .
Need the ability to understand complex challenges faced by clients and explain the solutions
Education and Training:
Finalist or newly qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
CPD to be maintained as required.
Technical Research and other training as required.
Skills, knowledge and competencies:
Ability to understand key client and business issues, to analyse and interpret financial data, understand complex business models and produce meaningful and concise reports
Analytical and logical skills
Technical competence and experience: attention to detail in technical matters a prerequisite
Good communication skills (both in writing and orally)
Technically up to date with awareness of relevant regulatory frameworks
Professional and ethical skills, displaying integrity at all times
Organised and able to manage own time and deadlines
Good IT skills
Ability to cope with pressure on projects sometimes requiring work beyond usual hours
Flexible/adaptable/committed attitude
