Job title: Forensic Lead Social Worker

Location: Battersea Bridge House Hospital,1 Randall Close, Battersea, London, SW11 3TG.

Rate Of Pay £45,000 Per Year

Shift Patterns: Monday to Friday

Information about the Role: ·

· To ensure that all care, assessment, and treatment is delivered within the clinical ethos of the unit.

· To take the lead in safeguarding adults and children accessing our service maintaining links with key agencies.

· To communicate and maintain positive links with patient’s family, friends and interested others.

· To liaise with MAPPA, CCG, and other statutory agencies,

· Be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of clinical practice is achieved and that the social care delivered to patients is of a consistently high standard.

· Work closely with other professional staff ensuring a consistent pattern of care for each individual patient.

· To participate in clinical governance meetings.

· To have experience of hospital discharge process.

. To work as part of the Forensic directorate at Battersea Bridge House Hospital.

Taking the social work lead in ensuring that service users and carers needs are met. As the Forensic Social work lead you are expected to have knowledge and experience of the Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Care Act 2014 and the NHS and Community Care Act 1990 for assessing the social care needs of people with learning disabilities and/or complex mental health needs..

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

· To be registered to practice with HCPC

· To understand the Forensic Social Work Capabilities

· Take responsibility for ensuring that the staff team have an up to date working knowledge of developments in Forensic Social Work practice.

· Develop a comprehensive knowledge of resources and make this available to colleagues so that they are fully informed of choices, options, and any other assistance available.

Be competent in the performance of professional procedures and practices

Experience of at least 3 years in similar position
