The Team
Business failures, financial fraud and accounting irregularities. These and other events have resulted in regulatory interventions, investigations, financial restatements and a significant number of lawsuits. Dealing with matters of a complex nature requires a broad range of skills and experience.
Our Disputes & Investigations (“DI”) team is pan European with teams in Paris, Geneva, Zurich London, Munich, Frankfurt, Athens and Madrid. We have worked on some of the most significant, high-profile matters in the investigative and disputes area across many European countries and beyond. We are a leading provider of Forensic Accounting and Investigations, Forensic Technology, Dispute Advisory, Cyber Risk Management, and Privacy and Data Compliance services. We have an established reputation for high quality work in a non-Audit environment. Our approach is characterised by a high level of objectivity, diligence and intensive analysis.
The Role
As part of our expansion in EMEA, we are seeking a talented Forensic Accountant with expertise in Investigations at Senior Director level to support DI in EMEA and be based in Paris (or Geneva) . The successful candidates will support a variety of investigations and advisory projects for our clients. You will:
Lead and contribute to a variety of engagements in France, Switzerland and internationally
Use forensic accounting skills to investigate fraud and other financial misrepresentation
Take a key role in drafting reports and other client deliverables
Develop and suggest solutions to complex problems by thinking “outside the box”
Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities
Communicate effectively to all levels of engagement management and clients
You will be encouraged to network internally with our other service lines and to participate in external marketing events
The Requirements
A Master’s degree from an accredited business school, with accounting focus
c. 10 years of experience including in a forensic consulting practice or similar
Demonstrable experience in managing Investigations
Ability to work to tight deadlines in combination with a positive attitude, energetic approach and self-motivation
Relentless and uncompromising attention to detail and quality
Self-starter with the drive to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to synthesise information from several sources and draw coherent, well-evidenced conclusions
Fluency in French and English ( both written and spoken) is essential; German and other European languages are of interest
Good written and oral communication skills
