NonStop’s client, a Local Authority in the South East of England is currently seeking two dedicated individuals to join its Crime Prevention Project on a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension . As a team member, you will earn a competitive salary and work towards making a difference in the lives of young people.
They are seeking candidates with a Youth Work Qualification/Diploma and experience in street-based detached work. Experience working within schools is a bonus, but not required. You won’t be holding a caseload like a social worker, but you will be actively involved in organising and attending events and activities for young people. This includes assisting young people in accessing local clubs like gyms or boxing and providing support for youth in reintegration programs.
The team is currently working on an innovative approach to tackling knife crime through the use of Virtual Reality, and you’ll have the opportunity to be a part of this.
The role will be field-based, with a couple of different office locations to choose from. While there is no home working for this position, we offer flexibility in choosing the office location.
