  • Attend and engage in CCL’s Mobile Device and PC Laboratory training programme
  • Attend all of the various training sessions: Shadowing, Classroom/theory, Practical test cases, Competency test
  • Carry out the forensic examination of ‘test’ mobile devices or PCs in accordance with CCL’s policies and procedures
  • Utilise CCL’s case management system to effectively manage projects to ensure clients requirements and expectations are fulfilled
  • Pro-actively acquire forensic knowledge to maintain up to date and improve processes within the laboratory

Essential

  • Sound understanding of current ACPO guidelines and Forensic Regulator’s requirements (ISO 17025 and Codes of Practice and Conduct)
  • Ability to work with a high level of precision and accuracy, with great attention to detail
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work independently and make sound and reasoned judgements
  • Sound analytical and interpretation skills
  • Knowledge of forensic software

Education:

Essential

  • Degree level qualification (2:2 or above) BSc in an IT related field; Computer Science or
  • Digital Forensics degrees are desirable
    Or
  • HND/HNC & 1 -> 3 years’ experience in digital forensics

Other Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years UK residency
  • Full driving licence
  • Satisfactorily pass pre-hire and annual security clearance procedures in accordance with the ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) National Vetting Scheme
