Associate Consultant – Due Diligence

Control Risks

We are looking for a dynamic individual to be part of a team conducting integrity & reputational due diligence in the Middle East and North Africa. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker with good communication skills, with an interest in business transactions and operations.

Role tasks and responsibilities:

– English- and Arabic language research in support of a range of strategic intelligence projects including due diligence, background checks and problem-solving litigation support.
– Undertaking case management of projects as required.
– Ensuring the delivery of projects on budget, scope and deadline.
– Preparing quality reports to clients.
– Supporting the team on business development initiatives such as attending conferences, client meetings and briefings.

Requirements

Knowledge and experience

– Previous professional experience, ideally within the intelligence industry on the Middle East, with at least 1 year working as a business analyst or researcher in a client-facing role.
– Experience of conducting Arabic- and English-language research, managing projects, and presenting findings to clients.
– An understanding of the region’s political and commercial environment
– Demonstrated commitment to intelligence and compliance, with strong knowledge of research techniques, databases, networks, online registers and archives, and research in the general internet.
– Experience of interacting with and managing a network of human sources.

Qualifications and specialist skills

– Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in relevant discipline.
– Total professional fluency in Arabic. Working proficiency in Persian a benefit.
– Excellent verbal and written English.
– Excellent word processing and general computing skills.
– Strong presentation skills.
– Ability to work in a team and independently
