Compliance Consultant (Data Analytics)

This job can be based in Delhi/Mumbai office or completely remote as well (within India) .

Tasks and responsibilities

Compliance project management

  • Project manage and where needed lead on projects involving the application of compliance and preferably forensic accounting in Asia, and globally when required
  • Assist with overseeing and providing consistency throughout the Asia Pacific region for compliance-related data analytics projects on client engagements, co-ordination with the development team and best practices on project management
  • Where needed, advise on matters involving investigations or compliance reviews
  • Work with data science team to develop project plans and analysis. Understand planned analytics at a high level as they relate to client outcomes.
  • Analyse and interpret financial, operational, and transactional data, including analytics outcomes.
  • Prepare written analyses, summary reports, presentations, and other client deliverables for projects and work performed
  • Create and maintain documentation of assumptions, methodologies, and information sources throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist building and growing the client base for the data analytics team by preparing presentations to clients, drafting proposals, and supporting with other ad hoc business development initiatives
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues to promote and deliver projects through championing of data analytics solutions
  • Assist with the cultivation of client relationships and accounts and become a trusted adviser on issues related to compliance and data analytics by demonstrating a high level of commitment to client success.

Business development

  • Assist building and growing the client base for the data analytics team by preparing presentations to clients, drafting proposals, and supporting with other ad hoc business development initiatives

Requirements

Essential

  • 3+ years in a compliance or risk management role, demonstrating understanding of fraud, bribery and corruption, and other compliance risks
  • 5+ years working a corporate environment (preferably management consulting) with an emphasis in managing projects and developing client solutions
  • Interest in data analytics (mandatory) and some experience in communicating analytics outcomes (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply creative solutions to solve complex compliance problems across multiple industries
  • Extensive work experience with industry-leading technology
  • Proven experience at managing client expectations and providing relevant solutions throughout the project lifecycle
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrate strong organisational and project management skills
  • Commitment to conducting ethical business
  • Ability to travel when requested
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills to effectively communicate with diverse audiences of varying degrees of expertise
  • Additional certification in relevant tools and/or technologies (preferred)
  • Certified Fraud Examiner (preferred)
  • Exhibits strong judgment, business acumen, and is commercially focused; must live by corporate values and demonstrate strong commitment to Control Risks as a brand.
  • Proven ability to conduct training in a professional environment
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team of professionals through empowerment, coaching and motivation
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while effectively juggling competing demands, prioritise appropriately, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously
