The consultant, working with the Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence team, will provide risk management consulting services and analysis in the areas of due diligence, business intelligence, fraud investigations, regulatory risk and compliance, litigation support, antitrust investigations and other types of problem solving for regional and multinational clients. The overall objective of the consultant is to support clients and help protect their integrity and reputation when investing or operating in the region.
Role tasks and responsibilities
The consultant will be an experienced professional growing in experience and responsibility. They will be able to deliver projects and communicate with clients with minimal supervision. They will also form part of a larger team and will benefit from the guidance of more senior consultants and the Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence manager.
The selected candidate will manage projects that may include other consulting personnel, analysts and subcontractors and will be required to write proposals and reports. They will ensure that investigative projects are conducted and delivered within the required timeframe while simultaneously satisfying Control Risks’ rigorous quality standards.
Support business development:
The selected candidate will support the sales process for Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence consultancy tasks in the areas of due diligences, business intelligence, fraud investigations and general investigative projects and will begin to develop longer-term client relationships and the ability to sell cross-departmental projects.
Five or more years of work experience in business consultancy services, corporate investigations, compliance, business intelligence, or legal
Experience (Knowledge and/or living) in Spanish-speaking Latin America or experience
Knowledge of Latin America and specifically the Andean region
Understanding of business intelligence and due diligence
Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and oral
postgraduate degree in a relevant field
Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Professional demeanor and ability to present ideas persuasively to a business audience
Proven track record as a team player but with an ability to work autonomously or as a team leader
Ability to work efficiently under tight and often multiple deadlines
High level of professionalism, dedication and discretion
High ethical standards, inherent integrity and instinctive appreciation of ethical behaviour
