EY is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Financial Crime Technology Consulting team within our Financial Crime and Forensics practice, based out of the UK. We have large scale plans to expand our already market leading Financial Crime Technology practice and anticipate continued growth throughout the next five years. Your key responsibilities

 

You will focus on the development and delivery of Financial Crime Technology projects for our financial services clients across a range of Financial Crime issues and challenges that will enable our clients to better manage their financial crime risks.

 

Drawing on your industry knowledge and experience, you will provide innovative insights to our clients, adapt methods and practices to fit the operational team and cultural needs and contribute to thought leadership. You will also actively improve operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives, in line with EY’s commitment to quality.

 

As a Senior Consultant you will bring a passion for delivering an exceptional client service experience. You will have a collaborative mind-set and an ability to work well in a team, ideally in a project environment. You have excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills and an understanding of how to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders. You bring strong analytical skills and are confident in tackling new topics.

Client Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team to deliver Financial Crime technology change and transformation

  • Create a compelling future vision and strategy

  • Assist in managing financial aspects of engagements by organising staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to engagement managers

  • Identify opportunities for EY to assist our clients further and bring these ideas to the engagement manager

  • Build strong internal relationship within the Financial Crime & Forensics practice and within Consulting

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • You will be able to demonstrate project experience and client knowledge gained from professional practise across one or more of the following areas of Financial Crime Technology:

    • KYC, Customer Due Diligence, pKYC and customer risk rating methodology

    • Name screening, payments screening and adverse media screening

    • Transaction Monitoring

    • Trade Finance

    • Convergence of AML, Fraud and other economic crime risks and controls

    • Financial Crime Target Operating Model

  • 2+ years’ related work experience e.g., Financial Crime change and transformation, Financial Crime IT, Financial Crime project management, Financial Crime systems implementation and optimisation

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder management, report writing, client presentations, and project management

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Agile experience and/or Scrum Master Certification

  • Financial Crime Certifications such as ICA or ACAMS

  • Experience with process simplification and optimisation

  • Experience with one or more financial crime solution providers

  • Experience with performing and reviewing data analysis

  • Experience in Financial Crime technology architecture and/ or experience in Financial Crime technology requirements
