With thousands of employees using a large variety of applications to access, create, and modify data from all over the globe, knowing where critical data sits on these networks — and who has access to it — is a challenge that introduces a host of risks involving data security and privacy.

 

Companies are increasingly abandoning the rigid division of information risks such as information security, privacy, records, and information management, and opting to enable these disciplines to work together to address risks holistically. 

 

As a Senior on our Data Governance team, you’ll be right at the heart of that goal. It’s a role with far-reaching implications, so you’ll be working with stakeholders across industries with some of the most innovative tools available.  

 

The opportunity   Become a pioneer in the field of Data Governance.  With significant recent investment and traction in the market, we’re experiencing rapid growth in our Data Governance practice. Our Forensic & Integrity Services team is working with industry-leading technologies to develop impactful solutions to some of the most challenging information risk management issues around. Since we work with such a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, you can expect to take on a wide range of information governance challenges, making this a great place to develop your technical and business knowledge.  

 

Your key responsibilities   With our clients increasing need to share information across the enterprise—and manage the risk associated with that endeavor – it’s no exaggeration to say you’ll never be doing the same task for too long. You’re likely to balance your time between directly liaising with our clients to understand their needs and challenges and create solutions using our suite of Data Governance services.  It’s all about using your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients’ needs from the front lines. That means thinking differently about how information is stored and accessed and speaking up with innovative ideas that challenge the status quo.  

 

Skills and attributes for success – Take responsibility for high-quality execution and delivery of specific parts of a Data Governance engagement – Develop yourself and others through seeking and offering on-the-job coaching and feedback – Oversee multiple projects ensuring the work meets the client’s needs – Use technology to continually learn and share your knowledge with other team members – Nurture relationships with professionals in other service lines and seek opportunities to work together – Maintain a strong focus on the client and be responsive to their requests

 

To qualify for the role you must have – A bachelor’s degree with approximately 2 years related work experience – Achieved or working towards at least one professional designation, such as CISA, CISSP, CISM,CFE, CFCE or EnCE – Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements – A proven record of delivering information governance solutions to large, complex organizations

 

Ideally, you’ll also have – In-depth knowledge of Python, StoredIQ, Big Insights NoSQL, InfoArchive, Autonomy, Tableau or other data analytics and governance and visual data analytics tools
