Position Summary
This Senior Consultant position is a part of FTI Consulting’s Technology team. As part of the Mumbai,India based team, the Consultant will be cross-trained in various e-discovery skills and will assist on all phases of e-discovery projects.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is related to data processing, loading, converting, quality assurance, tracking and management of client data.
• Assume responsibility for day-to-day data processing, conversion, analysis, quality control, import and other specialised tasks including interaction with other consultants, supervisors and client personnel.
• Coordinate closely with colleagues within and across teams to manage the delivery of client requirements.
• Manage any project related queries and issues and provide solutions/workarounds
• Liaise and communicate on a daily basis with other teams and manage expectations on client requests.
• Customer service oriented to meet client deadlines, including working out of business hours when necessary.
• Conduct internal training sessions to consultants.
• Actively involved in providing product enhancement feedback and coordinating the deployment of tools and processes to the wider India team.
• Coordinate closely with colleagues within and across teams to manage the delivery of client requirements.
Key Requirements
• Solid experience of working in an e-Discovery or technology related role
• Experience in using a range of processing and review platforms such as Concordance, Nuix, Relativity, BrainSpace, iPro eCapture. Litigation support experience.
• Solid experience in using SQL and relational databases.
• Experience in manipulating structured data exported from e-disclosure review systems, merging fields, reformatting fields, removing fields and editing records.
• Experience in handling and analysing large un-structured data volumes from various data sources: email, network shares, PC profiles, etc.
• Experience experience with data preservation and analysis software such as Encase, Cellebrite, oxygen forensic.
• Knowledge of programming (Python, C#).
• Degree in a technology focused subject such as computer science, forensic computing or information systems, or equivalent experience in professional services firms.
• Self-developer that demonstrates an ability to solve complex problems with well thought out innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally.
• Flexible with working hours and has the ability to work in a cross-functional team.
• Working knowledge of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM).
• Displays an ability to work independently in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
• Demonstrates an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Manages time and prioritises tasks effectively.
• Business-level English is mandatory.
• Familiarity of data manipulation using MS Access and Excel.
• Familiarity with personal computer and server hardware, operating systems and software.
• This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices
