SNA International, a world leader in forensics, biometrics, and identity intelligence, is currently seeking an Isotope Operations Coordinator (IOC) to remotely support the Isotope Program within the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) Laboratory.
The Isotope Operations Coordinator (IOC) is the coordinator for the Isotope Team. As such, the IOC assists in the daily functioning and ensures that team members have the information and resources needed to do their jobs. The IOC may additionally propose solutions to improve the productivity and efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a biological or chemical science field (or closely related field).
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience required in isotope testing.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Tier I investigation/Public Trust and a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Knowledge of the DPAA’s Isotope Program and its functionality.
- Knowledge of the DPAA Laboratory’s safety, quality assurance, and ANAB accreditation requirements.
- Knowledge of DPAA acquisitions and logistical support.
- Demonstrated record of initiative and achievement.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working independently with minimal direction or supervision.
- Experience performing tasks under tight deadlines and managing shifting priorities.
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Adobe Acrobat.
Critical Work Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Support the Isotope Program by organizing, reviewing, and filing active isotope sample files, laboratory spreadsheets and sample tracking records.
- Support Laboratory Administration by preparing purchasing requests and maintaining a complete and accurate inventory of isotope equipment.
- Support Quality Assurance by coordinating the performance checks and maintenance of isotope test equipment and associated documentation.
- Support Safety by maintaining task-specific summaries of occupational risks and exposures specific to the Isotope Program and regularly reviewing them as needs develop and change.
- Support the Surety Program by participating in the internal audit program of processes related to isotope sample preparation and analysis.
- Coordinate the build-out, update and revisions of the Isotope Repository Database and all related sample information from STARLIMS/CMS and Qlik within the Isotope Program.
- Perform various duties in support of research activities, as needed.
- Follow all Government policies and procedures.
- Occasional travel as directed by DPAA.
