Duties:

This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, Assistant Administrator-Field Operations/Tax Audit Division. As an Auditor (Financial), you will: Plan and conduct forensic financial investigations in criminal and civil cases of alcohol, tobacco, firearms and ammunition industry members (persons or entities) suspected of being involved in highly complex criminal schemes. Interview accountants, representatives of financial institutions, industry representatives, and others including, Federal, state and local agency officials to obtain financial related information. Provide forensic financial investigation services and training to Federal, state and local law enforcement officials, as well as to members of associated industries. Prepare and furnish accurate and timely reports and disseminates significant findings and disclosures developed during forensic financial investigations and related matters.

Qualifications:

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized for this position includes: – Regularly planning and performing audits: AND – Preparing written products which are used in the development of the final audit report. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
