Do you have experience processing digital evidence for a Law Enforcement agency?  Are you detail-oriented and do you have excellent organizational skills?   If you answered yes to these questions, then you need to apply for the Office Specialist Sr. (East Command) position with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office.  The Office Specialist Sr. (East Command), under general direction, performs daily activities and operations within the Digital Media Evidence Section in support of the Travis County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Services Division and Law Enforcement Bureau. Digital Media activities include receiving and transferring digital evidence, receiving and transferring DPS Laboratory submission reports, fulfilling requests for digital evidence and open records, transfer and secure Medical Examiners photos, responds to and acts upon Expunction and Sealing orders, maintaining stats and required logs for proper tracking of digital evidence, and assists with found property cases.

This classification is distinguished from the Office Specialist in that incumbents typically specialize in a division/department function and also possess broader knowledge/skills about division/department operations to allow more independence in carrying out responsibilities. This classification is distinguished in that incumbents frequently work under their own initiative in performing advanced administrative/support duties and/or providing formalized work leadership. Frequently trains and/or supervises subordinate clerical personnel. The results of assigned projects have direct impact on the accomplishment or establishment of the divisional and/or departmental goals and objectives.
