This temporary position is located in Bayroro, NC – PAMLICO County.  

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). 

This temporary position will be assigned to the The Department of Adult Correction (DAC). This position is located at 106 N. 3RD. ST., Bayroro, NC 28515.

This position is located in Bayboro, NC at Pamlico Correctional Institution.  This is a medium custody male facility housing approximately 575 offenders.  The medical records assistant position requires general knowledge of medical office practices and procedures to review, verify, complete, record and/or balance records, reports and figures.  Duties involve interaction with medical providers, vendors and hospital staff.  The medical records assistant reports to the nurse supervisor.  This position is responsible for maintaining medical records in a confidential manner and performing duties according to policy and procedures.  Job duties include but not limited to, the following:

  • Ordering and keeping inventory of medical supplies
  • Scheduling medical appointments for offenders
  • Effectively demonstrate good judgment when communicating with staff, offenders and the general public
