Central Regional Hospital is seeking an energetic, forward-thinking, and passionate team player to join our Human Resources team.  The HR office provides a full range of services for approximately 2,000 staff members for Central Regional Hospital, Whitaker Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, and Wright School, a state-operated mental health treatment program for children with serious behavioral and emotional problems. This HR office is responsible for the following human resources functions: position management, salary administration, recruitment, employee benefits, safety & health, and employee relations.
 

The Classification and Compensation Supervisor is responsible for the leadership of Recruitment/Salary Administration Team in addition to conducting classification and salary adjustment analyses based on requests from management. The Classification and Compensation Supervisor will ensure the hiring of qualified employees to meet the business needs of Central Regional Hospital. Job responsibilities include the following:

  • Establish work standards, priorities, and deadlines
  • Manage the workflow of the recruitment team in an efficient manner
  • Consult with team on issues for which there is no clear guidance or further policy interpretation is required
  • Conduct job analysis for reallocation requests and prepare the reallocation package.
  • Prepare temporary and permanent in-range salary adjustment packages. 
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on strategy and vision for best practices around recruitment and classification
  • Ensure payroll actions are processed in a timely manner
  • Prepare various reports

This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement.  The normal working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; however, flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.

Recruitment Range:  $50,357 – $68,000

 CRH is a 398-bed state operated psychiatric hospital. It provides in-patient psychiatric care to patients of all ages with significant mental health illness. This care is provided over a broad range of services areas, including Adult Admissions, Geriatric Services, Community Transition Unit, Child and Adolescent Unit and Forensic Services. The hospital has an ECT service and a robust primary care service for the in-patients it serves. CRH is a training site for the Duke University and University of North Carolina Psychiatric Residency programs and is involved in training and internships involving multiple professional disciplines.
 
CRH is located in Butner, NC. Our location is ideal with four seasons, mild temperatures and provides an easy commute to the N.C.  mountains or beaches. Butner possesses small town charm but is within 30 minutes of a major metropolitan area including Research Triangle Park, Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Durham, NC.
