Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking qualified current Police Civilian Employee Association members to fill vacant Forensic Chemist I-II, Grade P-20/22 positions, within the Forensic Science Division Drug Analysis Laboratory.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       The incumbent is assigned to the Drug Analysis Laboratory where he/she conducts qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses, microscopic, chromatographic, and instrumental analyses of evidence submitted by law enforcement personnel. The analytical work involves contact with biohazards and exposure to chemical solvents and reagents. Employee will prepare summary findings and analytical reports and is required to appear as an expert witness in court. Work assignments require knowledge of Personnel Law, general orders and departmental rules regulations and ordinances and the ability to communicate well with others. Work is performed under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager.
