Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) is seeking an Administrative Assistant 3 to join their Office of Forensic Mental Health Services (OFMHS) in a hybrid work environment, including Lakewood, WA and telework.  We are a fun, caring and supportive group looking for a new team member who shares our passion to promote excellent forensic mental health care, community safety and continuous improvement for better outcomes for our agency, our clients, and our community.

In this role, you support the NGRI (Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity) Specialist team to support patient progress through treatment toward community reintegration. This position offers great benefits, flexibility, and exciting opportunities for learning and growth.

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Maintain tracking systems for all persons acquitted as NGRI in Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) care and custody
  • Help establish and update effective data collection and reporting system for the NGRI program
  • Collect and enter key data about NGRI patient progress and community reintegration
  • Communicate with and report out to staff across BHA facilities and headquarters, within court systems, and other stakeholders
  • Manage the NGRI SharePoint site, Teams channel, electronic calendars and project documents
  • Provide secretarial support to the NGRI Specialist Administrator and the team, and coordinate office operations
  • Prepare and organize materials for NGRI case reviews and court
  • Schedule meetings, create and share materials, take and distribute minutes
  • Prepare confidential correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, and information
  • Prepare official communication and documents for Supervisor – including memos, charts, proposals, work instructions, reports, presentations, training materials, and official correspondence

  • Ability to prioritize work, find information quickly, complete work, and return to critical tasks in the midst of multiple interruptions.
  • Ability to independently manage time and tasks.
  • Strong sense of customer service and team orientation.
  • Advanced experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Visio, and internet applications

Who should apply?
Professionals with a High School Diploma or GED and three years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work setting. Formal education may substitute for work experience.
