*Patients live in one of 4 cottages determined by age where they have individual bedrooms and a shared day area. Each cottage has its own kitchen and dining room. Admissions are due to forensic issues or CLIP referrals. Behavioral characteristics of San Juan youth will include suicidal and para-suicidal behavior, aggression, interpersonal disorder, emotional instability, impulsivity, identity confusion, psychotic behavior, and in some cases an inability to manage basic self-care needs.  The focus of the program is to provide extended behavioral health treatment in order to help youth develop the skills necessary for them to return successfully to their families and communities.  The use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy addresses many of the core issues of our client population and serves as the primary theoretical orientation underlying the San Juan cottage program. Information on additional cottages and age groups is available here.

Free ORCA cards are available for Pierce County employees.
