Forensic Pathologist

The Office of the Medical Examiner is responsible for investigating all sudden, unexpected, suspicious, unnatural or violent death or deaths that represent a threat to public health.  The Forensic Pathologist performs autopsies or external examinations as appropriate and utilizes those findings in conjunction with historical and circumstantial information, x-ray, toxicology and other tests and microscopic examinations to determine the cause and manner of death.
