We are currently recruiting for a Psychiatrist for the Forensic Services Unit  at Central Regional Hospital.  The Forensic Services Unit (FSU) houses NGRI patients from across the state and also provides capacity evaluations and other forensic evaluations for in-patients at CRH as well as out-patients from across the state.
 
The staff psychiatrists on FSU provide psychiatric treatment to the in-patients on FSU and provide evaluation services for patients that require capacity or other forensic evaluations both on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
CRH has a major teaching mission. It is a training site for psychiatry residents and medical students for both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University.
 
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full state benefits package. The normal working hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; however, flexibility is required to meet patient needs. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
