Public Health-Seattle & King County is looking for students to work with the King County Medical Examiner’s Office creating a FHIR R4 compliant data flow between our case management system and the state’s vital records system. This position offers an opportunity for students interested in public health informatics to get familiar with local and state data systems, acquire and develop applied forensic epidemiology skills, and gain first hand experience on improving data interoperability between different agencies. This student will work closely with highly trained and experienced informaticians, epidemiologists, and public health practitioners at Public Health – Seattle & King County, and interact frequently with those working at the state level and at national professional organizations.
