Under general supervision, at the full-performance level, independently conducts investigations of violations of federal and state laws, agency specific policies and regulations or claims for damages involving state agencies. Involves direct public contact work as well as contact with insurance company representatives and lawyers. Work requires the use of a personal automobile for travel. Employee is subject to on-call status during non-business hours. May be required to deal with situations which are potentially dangerous. Performs related work as required.
Hiring Process: This job is a tested position indicated with a (T) beside the title and requires an online examination. Once your application is received, you will be notified from CourseMill (web-based Learning Management System). You must complete the online examination within ten (10) days of receiving your notification or your application will be inactivated.  

DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU CAN TEST WITHIN ten (10) DAYS after receiving your notification from CourseMill.  Online applicants who do not test within ten (10) days of receiving this notification will be inactivated. There is a thirty (30 day) re-test waiting period. 

Caution: Any time you retake the same test, your new score, whether higher or lower, will automatically replace any previous test scores.

Note:  The same examination is used for: Investigator 1 – All agencies except Lottery and Investigator 2.  YOU MUST APPLY FOR EACH TITLE SEPARATELY. YOU MUST APPLY PRIOR TO TESTING. You only need to take the test once to be scored for the titles for which you have applied.

NOTE If you have already taken the test for Investigator 1 – Lottery within the past 30 days and want to be considered for Investigator 1 – All agencies except Lottery and Investigator 2, contact our office for instructions on how to have your current test scores applied to this title(s).
