This is responsible investigative work in planning and conducting investigations relative to alleged or suspected violations of criminal laws such as Anti-trust, embezzlement, money laundering etc., for the Virgin Islands Government.
An employee in this class finds facts through application of sound investigative processes, and supports those facts in reports which serve the needs of interested officials in the branches of government.
Work is performed under the direction of a higher level officer, but the employee is expected to use considerable judgment and initiative in gathering and verifying information, work is reviewed for conformance with established policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.
