IT Data Management – Journey #p297 (in-training)

This position is a member of the WSP/ITD, dedicated Forensics Laboratory Services Bureau (FLSB) IT Support Unit, primarily assigned to the Crime Laboratory Division (CLD). The Crime Laboratory Division operates five multi-service Crime Laboratories in Seattle, Tacoma, Marysville, Spokane, Vancouver and one limited-service Crime Laboratory in Olympia. The Laboratories provide DNA, Firearm, Materials, Drug, Latent Prints, Crime Scene, and other forensic analysis services for criminal justice agencies within the state of Washington (RCW 43.43.670) and other states. FLSB also provides expert testimony to the judicial system as required in various criminal court cases, operates the Statewide Sexual Assault Kit Tracking System, supports Washington’s Impaired Driving Breath Test Program, and Washington State’s FBI Combined DNA Database Information (CODIS) system. This position is a critical member of the IT support team supporting FLSB business operations and keeping software systems operating in order for the Bureau to provide its state mandated services. 

This position is being posted in Clark, King, Thurston, Spokane County.
Note: Telecommuting is available, however you must be able to come into the office in Olympia and Seattle WA, when requested. We will strive to give reasonable notice. 
 
We will consider filling this position as an in-training. The in-training plan is projected to last between 12-18 months, but will depend on the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the incumbent.
• IT Data Management – Entry level: Range 02IT, $5,114 to $6,711
• IT Data Management – Journey level: Range 06IT, $6,672 – $8,755
