Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions while the second is the detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches detected by those systems. Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation with the Information Security Officer (ISO) in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments. Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.
This skilled technical position reports to the ISO and is responsible for administering and maintaining security controls focused on network security across the City of Port St. Lucie’s enterprise in accordance with existing policies, procedures, and security best practices. This skilled position will be mainly responsible for safeguarding privileged information and prevention of unauthorized access to City-wide resources. The IT Security Analyst I perform two core functions for the enterprise as follows:
- The IT Security Analyst I is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- The IT Security Analyst I is responsible for articulating technical security requirements, monitoring the effectiveness of the IT security controls framework, and assisting the ISO in raising the security awareness and policy compliance among workforce members.

Responsible for the governance, operations and maintenance of the City’s enterprise information security controls. Monitors security tools, logs and other resources to ensure that security controls comply with the City’s IT security plans, policies and procedures. Performs analysis of threats and vulnerabilities. Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation with the Information Security Officer (ISO) in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.
This skilled technical position reports to the Information Security Officer (ISO) and is responsible for safeguarding privileged information and prevention of unauthorized access to city-wide resources. The IT Security Analyst II will administer & maintain logical & physical security controls focused on network security across the City’s enterprise in accordance with security best practices. The IT Security Analyst II performs two core functions for the enterprise as follows:
- The IT Security Analyst II is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated plans, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- The IT Security Analyst II is responsible for articulating technical security requirements, monitoring the effectiveness of the IT security controls framework, and assisting the Information Security Officer (ISO) in raising the security awareness and policy compliance among workforce members.

This is technical, specialized work responsible at the macro-level for analyzing, collecting and operating, investigating, maintaining, protecting and defending and implementing security measures which safeguard access to information technology assets. Work involves identifying security issues, developing security architecture solutions, researching deploying new security technologies, performing security audits as needed and is the primary lead in responding to all security incidents. Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation with the Information Security Officer (ISO) in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.
This skilled technical position reports to the Information Security Officer (ISO) and is responsible for performing real-time proactive security monitoring, triaging and conducting investigations of security incidents and conducting forensic analysis on systems to identify root causes of security issues and/or events across multiple security solutions. Work involves categorizing security events writing custom scripts and utilizing advanced security tools to identify and eliminate security threats while protecting data and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destructions. This skilled position requires significant operational experience information systems security across a broad organizational range. The IT Security Analyst III performs two core functions for the enterprise as follows:
- The IT Security Analyst III is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures and guidelines.
- The IT Security Analyst III is responsible for articulating technical security requirements, monitoring the effectiveness of the IT security controls framework, and assisting the Information Security Officer (ISO) in raising the security awareness and policy compliance among workforce members.
