Brief Quality Assurance Project Coordinator Position Overview:

The Quality Assurance Project Coordinator (Coordinator 4) coordinates and monitors quality assurance and quality control activities in designated Department Divisions and assists with preparing for accreditations and certifications by ensuring all staff and operational activities are in compliance with applicable standards and requirements.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates processes for efficiency and develops improvement initiatives. 
  • Participates in other quality improvement projects as needed. 
  • Participates in nonconformance investigations and generates corrective action reports; drafts, implements, and tracks corrective and preventive actions. 
  • Assists in maintaining the Department’s document management and control system (Q-Pulse). 
  • Reviews and formats procedures and manuals for Q-Pulse. 
  • Conducts internal audits throughout the year under the direction of a lead auditor. 
  • Reviews internal validations of new methods or method modifications. 
  • Monitors calibration and preventive maintenance of lab equipment. 
  • Administers internal or external proficiency tests. 
  • Assists with information disclosures for discovery orders and subpoenas.
  • Other duties as assigned.
