Brief Quality Assurance Project Coordinator Overview:

The Quality Assurance Project Coordinator monitors quality assurance and quality control activities in designated Department Divisions and assists with preparing for accreditations and certifications by ensuring all staff and operational activities are in compliance with applicable standards and requirements.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conducts internal audits throughout the year under the direction of a lead auditor.

  • Participates in nonconformance investigations and generates corrective action reports; drafts, implements, and tracks corrective and preventive actions.

  • Administers internal and external proficiency tests.

  • Assists in maintaining the Department’s document management and control system (Q-Pulse).

  • Reviews and formats procedures and manuals in Q-Pulse.

  • Evaluates processes for efficiency and develops improvement initiatives. 

  • Participates in other quality improvement projects as needed.

  • Reviews internal scientific validations of new methods or method modifications.

  • Assists with information and records disclosures for discovery orders and subpoenas.

  • Monitors calibration and preventative maintenance of scientific lab equipment/instruments.
