Job Duties:

  • The CWS Case Manager Supervisor plans and organizes the work for the Child Welfare Services Assessment Unit. Duties and responsibilities are governed by broad program instructions, objectives, and policies. Covering Counties include Lancaster, Chester and Fairfield.

  • Directs unit work activities. Plans and implements organization structure for area of responsibility; provides supervision and completes performance appraisals for staff; provides input into the development of agency policy, process, and procedures. 

  • Ensures uniform interpretation, application and implementation of policies, rules and regulations by staff.  Provides training to staff directly and indirectly; provides consultation to staff on difficult or problematic case situations; determines and prioritizes training needs for the unit.

  • Ensures timely and accurate preparation and submission of various reports and other information; establishes unit goals and objectives based upon agency priorities.

  • Plans and implements the knowledge and skills development of staff through individual group conferences; reviews and monitors case material and related data to ensure agency standards and priorities are met.

  • Assigns caseloads and other work related to responsibilities.

  • Attends meetings and coordinates with various public and private organizations by developing collaborative efforts to more effectively serve the community and families. 

  • Ensures CAPSS data is entered timely and reviews data on CAPSS system to ensure compliance requirements. 

  • Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
