MBTA Safety’s primary responsibility is safety oversight: namely monitoring and assuring the safe operation of our transportation system, including all modes (commuter rail, heavy rail, light rail, bus, ferry, and paratransit), as well as assuring workplace safety. MBTA Safety partners with departments throughout the Authority to identify and mitigate hazards and enhance safety for our employees, customers, and capital projects, and infrastructure.
The Safety Lead Investigator (SLI) Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) Trainer will be responsible for creating, providing, managing, ensuring, and tracking training on OSHA/workplace safety programs and related occupational health and safety topics. This role is to support and advance worker safety initiatives at the MBTA. Integral to this role is working collaboratively with OHS team members, members of the Safety Department, MBTA training Departments, as well as all MBTA employees and contractors.
