Special Agent I/II/III – Forensic Art

US Government, State Law Enforcement Division (SLED)

The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is searching to fill a Special Agent position in our Investigative Services – Forensic Art unit.  The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, integrity, and a strong desire for public service.

General Responsibility
The purpose of this position is to provide Forensic Art services to requesting agencies, both in-state and out-of-state. The services offered include: composite sketches, facial
reconstructions, post-mortem images, facial image comparisons, age progressions, courtroom exhibits, and various graphics projects

Specific Duties

  • Provide composite sketch interviews with victims and witnesses of crimes to produce a composite sketch of an unknown subject, and courtroom testimony as required.
  • Provide forensic facial imaging including facial reconstructions, post-mortem images, age progressions, and facial image comparisons.
  • Provide various graphics projects and courtroom exhibits.
  • Perform assigned tasks in support of the SLED Special Victims Unit. Participates in SLED mandatory training. Maintains SLED issued equipment. Assists other SLED Units as assigned and performs other details or duties as required.
